Silicone Hydrogel

This material is made by combining "silicone," which allows plenty of oxygen to pass through, and "hydrogel," which contains moisture, feels soft, and blends naturally with the eyes. Compared with conventional lenses, it helps prevent oxygen deprivation in the eyes and is designed to reduce dryness and sticking.

[High oxygen permeability] Because the material itself lets oxygen pass through directly, it can deliver several to dozens of times more oxygen to the cornea than conventional lenses, helping reduce eye redness and corneal issues.

[Less likely to dry out] Many products have a low water content and do not require much moisture such as tears, so less water evaporates from the lens, allowing even those prone to dry eyes to wear them comfortably.
